znajdujemy następujący fragment, autorstwa dr. Mariki Stanovoi (Czechy):
Bakhmul or the aboriginal Afghanistan afghan hound. The first dogs were sent to Russia like a present from new Afghanistan socialistic government in the 1970s. Then a few dogs were imported by the Soviet Army during the war in Afghanistan. Some dogs of the same type were found in USSR South Asia area. Breeding was based on original Afghanistan windhounds like the dogs from Afghanistan?s royal kennel ?Karizamir?. Thanks to political situation in Afghanistan somebody had to do something with this aboriginal population and the first standard was registered in 1987, based on the typical dog Rad-o-Bark. Now there are about 200 Bakhmuls in Russia.
Some bakhmul breeders prefer only cream or light pale coloured dogs. Others permit all kinds of colours.
This dog has longer hair around head, on the ears, on lower parts of neck and body, at the upper and back parts of legs.
